Terms of Service

By inviting ButzeBot to your Discord server or using the ButzeBot web panel at butzebot.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

ButzeBot is a Discord bot providing features including economy systems, pet systems, moderation tools, logging, and other community utilities. The web panel provides a management interface for configuring the bot on your Discord server.

butzebot.com also hosts Omen, a rhythm game leaderboard and account system. The Omen game client is developed by a third-party developer (Gexanx). butzebot.com provides the API, website, leaderboard, Discord bot commands, and account infrastructure. By creating an Omen account, you additionally agree to the Omen-specific terms outlined below.

You agree not to use ButzeBot or the web panel to:

• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Spam commands or abuse bot features
• Attempt to exploit, hack, or reverse-engineer the bot or panel
• Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the panel

We reserve the right to remove the bot from any server or ban any user who violates these terms, without prior notice.

ButzeBot offers an AI chat feature that activates when the bot is @mentioned or messaged directly. By using this feature you agree to the following:

• The AI runs locally on hardware operated by us — no third-party AI provider receives your messages.
• To produce coherent answers we briefly store the recent messages of your conversation with the AI; details and retention are described in the Privacy Policy.
• Don't share passwords, API keys, credit-card numbers, government IDs, or other sensitive data with the AI.
• Don't attempt to bypass the AI's safety rules, extract its system instructions, or use it to generate harmful, hateful, illegal, or NSFW content.
• Don't rely on AI replies as professional advice (medical, legal, financial). Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete.
• You can clear your AI conversation history at any time by sending !reset to the bot.
• We may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke AI access for users who attempt abuse, prompt injection, or excessive use.

Omen is a competitive rhythm game platform. To ensure fair competition, the following rules apply to all users:

• Submitted scores must be legitimate — played by a human on unmodified game software
• The use of autoplayers, macro tools, input automation, or any software that plays the game on your behalf is strictly prohibited
• Using modified or tampered game clients to gain unfair advantages (e.g., altering hit windows, timing, note visibility, or score calculation) is prohibited
• Intentionally submitting fabricated, spoofed, or manipulated score data via modified API requests is prohibited
• Multi-accounting (creating multiple Omen accounts to manipulate leaderboards, circumvent bans, or gain unfair advantages) is prohibited. Each person may only have one active account.
• Account sharing (allowing another person to play on your account or playing on someone else's account) is prohibited
• Exploiting bugs in the game client, API, or website to gain unfair advantages is prohibited. Such bugs should be reported via the bug report system.

Violation of any of these rules may result in immediate and permanent account suspension, score removal, and leaderboard exclusion — without prior notice or warning. We reserve the right to retroactively investigate and remove scores at any time. Decisions regarding bans are final unless successfully appealed via [email protected].

Omen provides social and community features including song comments, a follow system, song favorites, bug reports, and profile customization (avatar, banner, description). By using these features, you agree to the following:

• Comments must not contain harassment, hate speech, spam, threats, or illegal content
• Profile pictures and banners must be appropriate — no NSFW, offensive, discriminatory, or copyrighted material
• Profile descriptions must not contain harmful links, advertisements, or abusive content
• Bug reports should be genuine and not used to spam or abuse the system
• Abusing the follow system (e.g., mass follow/unfollow, bot-driven follows) is not permitted
• Impersonating other users, staff, or the game developer through profile names or content is prohibited

We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content (comments, profile images, descriptions) and restrict or ban accounts that violate these guidelines, without prior notice.

The Omen game client is developed and maintained by a third-party developer (Gexanx). We do not develop, distribute, or control the game client software. We provide only the backend infrastructure (API, leaderboard, accounts, website, Discord bot integration).

We are not responsible for any issues arising from the game client software, including but not limited to: bugs, crashes, data loss, compatibility issues, or security vulnerabilities in the client. For issues with the game client itself, please contact the game developer.

ButzeBot provides virtual economy features including coins, XP, pets, shop items, and gambling minigames. You acknowledge and agree that:

• All virtual items, currencies, and assets have no real-world monetary value
• Virtual items cannot be exchanged, traded, or redeemed for real money, goods, or services
• We may modify, reset, or remove virtual items and balances at any time without compensation
• No refunds are provided for lost, spent, or removed virtual items under any circumstances
• Attempting to sell, buy, or trade virtual items for real money or other external value is prohibited
• Gambling minigames (coinflip, blackjack, slots, roulette, crash, etc.) use virtual currency only and do not constitute real gambling

The ButzeBot API and Omen API are intended for use by the official website, game client, and Discord bot only. You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the API or website
• Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access the API beyond normal usage patterns
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass rate limits or other security measures
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or probe the API for vulnerabilities
• Use the API to build competing services or products without explicit permission

We enforce rate limits on all API endpoints. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary or permanent IP blocks. Malicious or abusive access patterns may be reported to your internet service provider.

We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account or access to our services at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Cheating, score manipulation, or fair play violations
• Abusive, harmful, or disruptive behavior
• Creating multiple accounts after a ban (ban evasion)
• Extended inactivity (accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be subject to deletion)

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We may retain your data as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy. Score data may be retained on the leaderboard even after account termination for historical integrity purposes.

ButzeBot is provided as a free service. We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or continued operation of any feature. The service may be interrupted, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

By using ButzeBot or creating an Omen account, you consent to the collection and processing of certain data as described in our Privacy Policy. Bot data such as economy balances and pet stats are stored on a per-server basis and may be deleted at any time. Omen game data (scores, profile data, replays) is stored per account and is publicly visible on the leaderboard.

Server administrators may remove ButzeBot from their server at any time. Upon removal, server configuration data may be retained for a reasonable period but will eventually be deleted. You can request immediate deletion by contacting us.

You must be at least 16 years old to use our services. If you are under 16, you may only use our services with verifiable parental consent. By using our services, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the website. Significant changes will also be announced in our Discord server. Continued use of the service after being notified of changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ButzeBot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ButzeBot, its operators, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hamburg, Germany, to the extent permitted by law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely achieves the economic and legal intent of the original provision.
